As we kick off the new school year, it's crucial to prioritize school bus safety. It's a legal requirement for ALL lanes of traffic to come to a complete stop when a school bus is displaying its stop bar. This rule ensures the safety of our children as they enter and exit the bus. The only exception to this rule is on a divided highway with a physical barrier or a minimum 5ft unpaved barrier separating the lanes.
