We are pleased and honored to announce that Vision Security Technologies has been recognized by the ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) with the Patriotic Employer Award. Our President and CEO, Barry Komisar was presented and accepted the award on behalf of the business and our dedicated team along with our Lead Technician, Derek Shook, who nominated Barry and Vision for this prestigious award.

Upon Derek’s recent return from deployment he nominated Vision for this award based on Vision’s continued support of his career in the National Guard and additional military training by providing flex time, constant contact with him and his family during his deployment and recognizing him on his return. “Barry and my Vision Team have gone out of their way to show support to me, the military and this great country. I couldn’t ask for a better place to work” is part of Derek’s submission letter to the ESGR when nominating Vision for the award.

“I have received multiple awards over the years but none have had the impact on me like this one. At Vision we pride ourselves on taking care of our own. My father being a former Tennessee National Guard and him being there when I received this award made it even more special”, says Mr. Komisar.

The Patriot Award is given to individual supervisors and bosses for support provided directly to the nominating Service member and his or her family. The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
