- Mustering capability - when an emergency occurs, it will be critical to know who is in the facility quickly and easily
- Scan to text – simplify visitor registration and eliminate errors by scanning identification cards directly into the system
- Visitor badge – are you looking for a basic name badge or do you want your logo and other information to appear on the badge?
- Self-registration – allowing visitors to self-register can save your staff time and can keep in-person interaction minimized
- Mobile – can the system send a barcode to the visitor in advance of their arrival to be used at the facility
- Enterprise – is the system to be used at only one location or can the same database be used across your remote locations
- Integration – will you require that the system be unified with the access control system to be able to allow visitors to control secure doors?
- HL7 standards – is your organization required to adhere to HL7 guidelines for patient name retrieval?
- Biometrics – are you interested in limiting printed materials and minimizing touch piunts? Consider biometrics.
- Screening – does your organization want to compare visitor requests to known felony or other databases?
- Customization – can the system be modified and programmed for unique requirements your stakeholders expect?
